Beyond Powder Coatings Ltd. is seeking applicants for a Full Time Laboratory Technician Position.
Responsibilities and Duties for this role
- Using standard formulations to formulate powder coating products.
- Color matching and making color corrections and adjustments.
- Operating lab extruders, lab mixers.
- Using spray equipment to spray test samples or product panels.
- Maintaining, disassembling and cleaning lab equipment.
- Continually monitor lab runs for quality and machine operation.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications for this role
- Science diploma or degree – preferably in Chemistry.
- A minimum of 2 years of laboratory work experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of powder coating color matching experience.
- Understanding raw material functions, product formulations, and lab equipment.
- Basic trouble-shooting skills for lab machines.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Word/Excel skills.
- Paying attention to details.
- Strong ability to detect color and pigment variances.
