Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Food and Beverage Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and providing an outstanding dining experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Prior restaurant experience and familiarity with food handling and POS systems are highly valued.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure proper food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards are maintained at all times
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth restaurant operations
- Manage time efficiently to serve multiple tables effectively during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries or concerns professionally to ensure a positive dining experience
- Follow all health regulations related to food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and order calculations
- Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays if required
- Kitchen experience or food industry background is advantageous but not essential
