Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Site Coordinator / First Aid Attendant to oversee safety and operational activities on construction sites. This role involves coordinating site safety protocols, providing first aid assistance, and supporting construction management efforts. The ideal candidate will have construction experience and familiarity with construction management software, ensuring smooth project execution while maintaining a safe environment for all personnel.
SITE COORDINATOR / FIRST AID ATTENDANT JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
- Assist with managing the day-to-day operations on the project site regarding safety, planning and scheduling, site logistics, quality management, resource planning, material handling, and trade coordination.
- Provide First Aid duties on site including site orientations, safety documentation, etc.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Work as site carpenter building ladders, guardrails, stairs, etc.
- Oversee labour on site with various tasks prescribed by the Site Superintendent.
- Assist with trade coordination.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing meeting minutes, Construction Admin, document control, material and manpower tracking, etc.
- Assist with procurement of materials, equipment and labour.
- Assist with shop drawing reviews to ensure timely deliveries of materials and equipment.
- Assist with review of invoices and signed time sheets.
- Support the Project Manager in cost management, scopes of work and site reporting.
- Assist with the preparation of regular look-ahead schedules.
- Maintain daily logs and a photographic record of site activities.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ construction experience on multi-family residential projects.
- Excellent communication skills with site staff, trades and consultants.
- Understand and resolve disputes in a fair and reasonable manner.
- Experience using technology in the field – MS Office, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.
- Experience enforcing company safety policies for all individuals accessing the site.
- Ability to complete all required health and safety documentation for the project.
- Successfully completing OFA Level 3 (Advanced) First Aid Certificate.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- This position is primarily site based and work will be in both indoor and outdoor environments on construction projects.
- Walking over uneven terrain, climbing and lifting are a requirement of the position.
- The ability to loft 50+ lbs.
- Experience with the safe operation of power tools.
- Sitting at a desk to work at a computer, attend meetings, make telephone calls, etc.
Pay: From $40.00 per hour
