ProStaff Employment Solutions is currently recruiting 5 Production Technicians for an exciting seasonal opportunity with a leading agricultural manufacturer in Chatham, Ontario.
This position offers competitive wages, shift premiums, full-time hours, and the opportunity to work in a dynamic production and warehouse environment.
Employees will work a rotating continental shift schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and overtime as required.
Some periods may require:
- 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
- 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
What You'll Do
This position supports a variety of production, packaging, warehouse, and agricultural operations throughout the year.
Responsibilities may include:
- Packaging, bagging, labeling, and palletizing products
- Operating production equipment and machinery
- Seed treatment and conditioning activities
- Processing and handling seed samples in a laboratory environment
- Inventory tracking and data entry
- Shipping, receiving, and warehouse support
- Material handling and product movement
- Assisting with harvest operations
- Maintaining clean and organized work areas (5S)
- Following all safety and quality procedures
- Performing additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- Mid-to-advanced computer skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Reliable transportation to and from Chatham
- Exceptional attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
- Ability to pass required pre-employment screenings and background checks
Candidates must provide:
- CSA-approved steel-toe work boots
- Boots must cover the ankle and display the green CSA triangle
