Job Overview
BB Cannabis is looking for a friendly, customer-focused Retail Associate (Budtender) to join our team in Logan Lake. In this role you'll provide a welcoming experience for every customer, help them choose the right products, process sales accurately, and keep the store clean, organized, and fully compliant with BC cannabis regulations. Strong communication, reliability, and a willingness to learn about cannabis products matter most — full training is provided. Bilingual abilities in English and French are an asset.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and help them select products based on their needs and preferences
- Verify customer ID and ensure every sale complies with BC cannabis regulations (LCRB)
- Operate the POS system for accurate cash handling and sales processing
- Provide product information and educate customers on different cannabis products and usage guidelines
- Recommend products to customers while ensuring a positive, pressure-free experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the retail space, including stock records and basic filing
- Handle customer inquiries in person and through digital channels professionally
- Assist with merchandising tasks such as product placement and promotional displays
- Help with stock movement and display setup (some lifting required)
Requirements
- Must be 19 years or older
- Valid Selling It Right certificate (or willing to obtain before starting)
- Strong communication skills in English; French is an asset
- Retail, cashiering, or hospitality experience preferred (not required — we train)
- Comfortable with POS systems, basic computer use, and Microsoft Excel for stock/reporting
- Good basic math skills for accurate cash handling
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks during busy periods
- Available evenings and weekends
