The Face of Cowboys Casino
As our Guest services Representative, you are often the first person a guest sees when they walk through our doors, and the last person they talk to before heading home. This isn't just a cashier job, and it's not just a customer service role - it's both, plus being a friendly face for guests who might not have anyone else to talk to that day. If you're patient, empathetic, and genuinely enjoy connecting with all kinds of people while handling the administrative side of things, this could be your spot.
What Your Shift Really Looks Like
- Process lottery tickets and handle cash transactions throughout your shift - selling tickets to hopeful players and paying out winners (if you do not have cash handling experience you will not be considered for the position)
- Manage our player loyalty program – help our guests maximize their casino experience, walking them through account setup with patience and clarity
- Be the friendly face at coat check during busy nights when hundreds of guests are coming and going
- Have real conversations with guests – talk to our regulars and Elite 55 players who appreciate your company and time just as much as the gaming
- Ride the wave of a busy night shift – a calm start to a shift; the chaos of the storm post Flames game; the aftermath as the gaming floor empties
- Handle the administrative reality of the role - paperwork, cash reconciliation, and the less glamorous tasks that keep operations running smoothly
The Reality Check
This is overnight work on a schedule that includes weekends. You'll work alone or with one other person, which means you need to be comfortable managing your responsibilities independently.
The role requires interaction with strangers, from excited first-timers, to regulars who love to chat, to the occasional frustrated guest. Some nights you'll have heartwarming conversations; others you'll process transactions and handle paperwork. If you only want the people-facing aspects without the administrative work, or if you only want the structured tasks without the human connection, this role won't be the right fit.
Here's What We Need from You
- Genuine patience and empathy - you don't just tolerate people, you enjoy connecting with them
- Responsibility handling cash - you're processing real money and must be accurate and trustworthy
- Politeness under pressure - when guests are frustrated or emotional, you stay calm and kind
- Independence and autonomy - you can manage your desk and responsibilities without constant supervision
- Outgoing personality - you're comfortable initiating conversations and making guests feel welcome
Experience & Qualifications
- One year of cash handling experience preferred (but we'll train the right person)
- Customer service background - whether from retail, hospitality, call centers, or other guest-facing roles
- Comfort with technology such as loyalty programs and processing transactions
- Strong communication skills - both for explaining programs clearly and for genuine human connection
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must pass background check
What You'll Get
- Part-time night shift position
- Benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage
- Training on all systems - lottery processing, loyalty programs, and cashier procedures
- Meaningful work where you genuinely impact guests' experiences
- The satisfaction of being someone's friendly face in what can sometimes be a lonely world
Not Right for You If...
- You want a 9-to-5 schedule or weekends off
- You're not comfortable working overnight shifts
- You only want the social aspects without the administrative tasks
- You prefer working on a team rather than independently
- You're not patient with people who need extra time or explanation
Perfect For You If...
- You genuinely enjoy talking with all kinds of people
- You appreciate the blend of structured tasks and human connection
- You're patient, kind, and empathetic by nature
- You can stay positive during the quiet early morning hours
- You’re ready to create extraordinary escapes and be the welcoming face of Cowboys Casino
Ready to be the friendly face that makes Cowboys Casino feel like home?
