Bar Manager – Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and professional Bar Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of our establishment.
Position Requirements
The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications:
- Fluency in both English and French
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a management position within the bar, hospitality, or restaurant industry
- Experience operating and supervising Loto-Québec machines and related procedures
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field
- Clean criminal record
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Work Schedule
The candidate must be available to work:
- Day shifts: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Night shifts: 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM
- On-call shifts, as required by operational needs
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage all daily bar operations
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
- Oversee Loto-Québec machine operations and reporting procedures
- Manage staff scheduling, supervision, and performance
- Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism
- Monitor inventory, supplier orders, and operational expenses
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper maintenance of the premises
- Assist in marketing initiatives and business development activities
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in bar, hospitality, or nightlife management
- Knowledge of customer service standards and conflict resolution
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
