OVERVIEW

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the purchasing of materials, equipment, and services required to support company operations and active projects. This includes everything from general hardware and consumables to drilling supplies, specialized services, and heavy equipment.
The role will work closely with local and regional vendors to source products, obtain and compare quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, manage contracts and purchase orders, and ensure materials and equipment are available when projects need them. They will also develop strong supplier relationships, identify cost-saving opportunities, and help resolve any purchasing or supply issues that arise.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage procurement of materials, equipment, consumables, and services, ranging from general hardware to drilling supplies and heavy equipment.
· Source and evaluate vendors, obtain competitive quotes, and negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements.
· Review and manage purchase orders, contracts, supplier agreements, and related procurement documentation.
· Coordinate with project and operations teams to understand purchasing needs and ensure timely delivery of required materials and equipment.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with local and regional vendors while identifying cost-saving and sourcing opportunities.
· Monitor orders, resolve supply or delivery issues, and maintain accurate purchasing and vendor records.
QUALIFICATIONS
· 2–3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or a related role.
· Experience purchasing materials, equipment, parts, consumables, and/or contracted services.
· Strong negotiation skills with an understanding of pricing, purchasing terms, and contracts.
· Excellent communication and vendor relationship-management skills.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple purchasing requirements and priorities.
· Mining, drilling, construction, heavy equipment, or industrial procurement experience is considered an asset.
