Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our team in a casual position. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for food, excellent teamwork and leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. This role is responsible for preparing and maintaining high-quality buffet service, ensuring guests enjoy a fresh, appealing, and enjoyable dining experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present buffet food items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Set up and maintain buffet stations to ensure food is well-stocked, fresh, organized, and visually appealing throughout service
- Monitor buffet quality, temperature, and presentation to ensure maximum guest satisfaction
- Replenish buffet items promptly and efficiently during service periods
- Follow food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, buffet stations, equipment, and storage areas
- Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and notifying management when supplies are low
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth buffet operations and excellent guest service
- Minimize food waste while maintaining quality and presentation standards
- Assist with cleaning, breakdown, and storage procedures at the end of service
- Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in buffet service, food preparation, catering, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and buffet food handling procedures
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen and buffet environment
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays if required
- Passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences
- Culinary training or previous kitchen experience is considered an asset

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
