POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Clinic Nurse will work closely with the multidisciplinary Greenwood Medical Centre team to provide primary care services to clinic patients. A wide range of tasks will provide a unique opportunity for learning, flexibility, employee satisfaction and growth. Required skills include experience with front line patient care, excellent communication and teamwork, inbox management support, strong multitasking skills and flexibility to meet the evolving needs of the practice.
The Clinic Nurse will work in a physician-nurse dyad structure to cover a leave of absence for 12 months or longer beginning in September 2026. The role will be primarily responsible for performing clinical tasks delegated by the physician; engaging in independent assessment, diagnostic, treatment and preventative care of patients; communicating effectively with patients in person, over the phone and electronically; and supporting all clinical and administrative needs as required. The ability to work in a dynamic and team-oriented environment will be a critical asset for success.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinic nurse duties include but are not necessarily limited to:
- Patient assessment for visit types where training and resources have been provided and work is within the scope of the nurse. These include but are not necessarily limited to well baby exams, pap tests, wart treatments, MOCA assessments, immunizations and diabetic reviews.
- Assistance with blood pressure measurements, ear flushing, basic wound care, IUD assists and other tasks as needed.
- Reviewing the care plan with the attending physician and escalation of concerns or abnormal findings.
- Telephone triage of patient concerns and basic advice.
- Support for physician on EMR messages, diagnostic results, reminders, patient follow up and communication.
- Calling patients back as required in follow-up and/or as requested by the physicians.
- Maintaining proper documentation in the patient chart.
- Preparation of examination rooms to see the physician.
- Checking for reminders for patients and managing preventative care items.
- Scanning, faxing and other tasks as needed such as immunization reports submitted to Public Health Unit.
- Other tasks pertinent to the administrative and clinical work environments that are within nursing scope, as required.
Experience working in a primary care setting will be considered, but is not mandatory
Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
