The Maintenance Attendant supports the daily operation of our 45-unit lodge and cabin property in beautiful Lake Louise.
This role is ideal for someone who is practical, reliable, and enjoys working outdoors and with their hands. Every day is different, with a mix of general maintenance, landscaping, and repairs that help keep our property safe, welcoming, and looking its best. Your work plays an important role in creating a great guest experience.
What You'll Do
As a Maintenance Attendant, you'll complete a variety of tasks across the property, including:
- Complete general maintenance and minor repairs in guest rooms, cabins, and public areas
- Maintain our grounds, including lawn care, watering, flowers, and landscaping
- Troubleshoot minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical issues
- Report larger maintenance concerns to the Lodge Manager
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests that affect guest comfort or safety
- Keep maintenance equipment, tools, and work areas clean and organized
- Support other operational tasks as needed
What This Job Isn't
This is not a specialized trades position or a desk job.
You'll spend much of your day outdoors, working across the property in all types of weather. Lake Louise is a small mountain community with limited services, and Banff is approximately a 45-minute drive or bus ride away.
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence - Required
- Maintenance, repair, or landscaping experience
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or building maintenance (an asset)
- Comfortable working independently and managing priorities
- Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- Available to work weekends and holidays as needed
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- A guest-focused approach
- Someone who enjoys working outdoors
Living in Lake Louise
Shared staff accommodation is available onsite or in the village, subject to availability.
