WHAT'S THE JOB?
This position is a key member of the Dexterra Group business and reports directly to the Operations Team Lead. The Manager Estimation/Pricing leads a team environment that develops estimates for various projects throughout Canada for the Integrated Facilities support team. They work closely with Trade specific leads to price reactive, project and Capex replacement projects. This position works with key individuals on both the client and operations group.
The Manager Estimation/Pricing is responsible for the accurate, timely preparation of full-cost estimates, including labour, materials, transportation, and 3rd party subcontracting. The Manager Estimation/Pricing also assists with our historical cost analysis, establishing unit rates, risk management and other related activities. Estimating accuracy is critical to the profitability of the business, as under-estimates may cause significant financial losses and over-estimates may result in the inability to win contracts.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead a diverse group of pricing agents to effectively price work in various markets

Collaborate with Operations, and partners to support pricing strategy

Perform post-bid and job cost analysis to drive continuous improvement

Support presentations and proposal development as needed

Review drawings, specifications, and attend pre-bid meetings to define scope

Ability to price out Mechanical/Plumbing Small Works quotes

Develop and validate cost estimates, including risks, contingencies, and indirect costs

Contribute to improving estimating tools, models, and processes
