Position Summary
The Inventory Technician is tasked with maintaining the efficiency of inventory tools and equipment. You are responsible for managing inventory records and setting guidelines. You will work in our warehouse and maintain the inventory system by ensuring electronic inventory records are kept and match physical inventory. Moreover, you will provide technical support to employees and perform regular administrative duties like daily audits, data entry of shipping and receiving documents, etc.
You will set guidelines, manage inventory records, operate machines and equipment, troubleshoot problems, and conduct regular maintenance checks. Additionally, you must maintain an active communication line for a smooth and safe workflow.
Responsibilities:
- You know how to arrange transportation of outgoing shipments.
- You know how to process outgoing shipments.
- You know how to keep track of raw materials, equipment, shipments, incoming deliveries, and stock.
- You know how to digitally manage inventory and create inventory reports.
- You know how to put stock away, maintain bin locations, and maintain inventory accuracy.
- You know how to participate in annual and daily inventory counts and reconciliations.
- You know how to maintain material handling equipment.
- You know how to maintain the warehouse and parts department cleanliness.
- You know how to sort, pack, crate and package materials and products.
- You know how to generate a purchase order for non-inventory items.
- You know how to assist our manufacturing team when available.
- You know how to follow SYTEC’s health and safety policies.
- You will have a reliable vehicle to come to work.
- You know how to complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Forklift Certified
· Must possess excellent communications, attention to detail, problem-solving, customer service, and organization skills.
· Willing to learn.
· Ability to use tape measure and caliper.
· Dependable and reliable.
· Capable of unloading, loading, and moving materials with our material handling equipment.
· Ability to lift up to 70lbs.
Working Conditions:
· 40 hours work week, Monday to Friday
· PPE and CSA-approved steel toe boots required.
· With prior approval, additional hours may be required as business demands
· Extremely fast-paced environment
· Work under pressure.
· Standing, walking, bending for long periods of time.
Benefits:
❖ Job Type – Full time.
❖ Pay – $23.00 - $26.00, depending on relevant experience.
❖ A company benefit plan is available, after 3 months of employment.
Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 40-hour work week (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM).
