We are seeking a dynamic and motivated A-Z Truck Delivery Driver to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting a variety of freight across designated routes, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. Your expertise in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair will be key to maintaining our high standards of efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate trucks and heavy equipment to deliver freight from our facility to various locations across the region.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement of goods.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment to guarantee safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, delivery receipts, and inspection reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep vehicles in optimal condition.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure safe transportation at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, and commercial trucks.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and inspections.
- Physical ability to load/unload freight and operate heavy machinery as required.
