Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Valve Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing valves and related equipment used in high-pressure industrial applications. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance of critical systems, supporting our commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced technologies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Schedule: Rotation 11 on, 3 off (rotation starts on Monday)
Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm (weekends may be off due to work load)
Location: Red Deer
Wage: $25-$30, based off experience
Responsibilities
- Valve Repair: disassemble, inspect, assemble, pressure test, paint a variety pressure containing equipment: Gate Valves, plug valve, chokes, etc.
- Maintain and repair valve department equipment including: Pressure testing unit, pressure washer, lapping table, caustic tank, and surface grinder.
- Assisting in Shop Duties, Shipping/Receiving, Warehousing.
- Demonstrate good house keeping and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- To assist in the development of a strong valve department team.
- To work in consort with all other divisions and branches.
- Complete and submit all paperwork neatly, in full and in a timely matter.
- Always maintain a safety compliance score of above 90%.
- To fully support documented internal company quality programs and procedures and safety programs.
Job Requirements:
- Wellhead / Frac equipment experience considered an asset
- Gate Valve knowledge / repair experience considered an asset
- Forklift experience considered an asset
- Overhead Crane Experience considered an asset
- Class 5 license required
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to safety.
- Must meet the physical demands and requirements of the job on a regular and consistent basis: This role involves regularly lifting 50lbs, bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, walking and/or sitting for extended periods of time.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
