We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join a service-focused team in Ontario on a contract basis. This opportunity begins as a 3-month assignment with the potential to extend, and it offers the possibility of a wage increase to $20/hour after one year. In this role, you will provide administrative and customer support related to claims activity, handle communications with members and external parties, and help keep documentation and incoming requests organized in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Payments
Process claim-related payments submitted through the HCAI system.
Review payment information for accuracy and completeness.
Follow up with the appropriate handling adjuster when clarification or additional information is required.
Assist with resolving payment-related issues and ensuring requests are handled in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Skills
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and general computer applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized with strong time-management and prioritization abilities.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage a high volume of information and correspondence while meeting deadlines.
Comfortable handling multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a busy environment.
Professional and confident communication skills with strong customer service abilities.
Able to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Previous experience in insurance, claims, financial services, or a related administrative environment is an asset.
Experience with HCAI, Accident Benefits, or claims administration is considered an asset.
Work Environment
Fast-paced, professional, and team-oriented office setting.
Regular interaction with Accident Benefits claims adjusters and internal departments.
