Position Summary
The Electronics Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and maintaining electronic, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems used in oilfield service equipment. This includes coil tubing units, nitrogen pumping units, fluid pumping equipment, data acquisition systems, engine control systems, hydraulic controls, safety systems, and communication equipment.

Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnostics and Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, instrumentation, and control system failures on oilfield service equipment.
- Troubleshoot PLC-based control systems, HMI displays, data acquisition systems, sensors, transmitters, and communication networks.
- Utilize diagnostic software, multimeters, oscilloscopes, pressure simulators, and other specialized testing equipment.
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and OEM service manuals.
- Perform root cause failure analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Install, replace, and calibrate sensors, transmitters, encoders, load cells, pressure transducers, and related instrumentation.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance inspections.
Field Support
- Provide technical support to field crews during operations.
- Travel to field locations to troubleshoot equipment failures and perform emergency repairs.
- Assist with commissioning and startup of new equipment.
- Provide training and mentorship to operators and mechanics regarding electronic systems and troubleshooting procedures..
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial electronic and electrical systems.
- Oilfield service equipment experience preferred.
- Experience with coil tubing, nitrogen pumping, fluid pumping, wireline, or related pressure pumping equipment considered an asset.
Requirements
- Electrical or Instrumentation trade certification
- Class 5 Driver's License with clean abstract
- Ability to work remotly on customer locations.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

Pay: $45.00-$60.00 per hour
