Job Summary
As a Hydraulic Technician your main duties would be to assess, install, repair, and maintain hydraulics systems on machinery. Removes, disassembles, cleans, and reassembles components. Use the service manuals to understand issues and select the proper tools and protocols for an assignment. Diagnoses issues and performs failure analyses.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop hydraulic systems for industrial machinery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hydraulic systems into new and existing products.
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical recommendations for hydraulic solutions.
- Perform calculations, simulations, and analysis to optimize hydraulic system performance.
- Select appropriate hydraulic components, such as pumps, valves, actuators, and hoses.
- Create detailed schematics and technical documentation for hydraulic systems.
- Oversee testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of hydraulic systems to identify and resolve issues.
- Participate in prototype development and validation of hydraulic components and systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to hydraulic systems.
- Provide technical support and expertise to colleagues and clients as needed.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems or areas for improvement
- Read and interpret hydraulic schematics
- Install hydraulic systems onto machinery
- Use hand tools and specialized equipment to complete repairs
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects
Job Requirements (Education, Knowledge & Skill)
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, fluid power engineering, or a related field
- 2-5 year’s experience in hydraulic system design, analysis, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in hydraulic system modeling and simulation software
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic components and systems, including fluid dynamics and control systems
- Knowledge of industry standards and ISO 9001 regulations
- Professional certifications in hydraulics are a plus
Work Conditions & Physical Demands
- Typical for an industrial heavy metal manufacturing environment
- Environment can be noisy and there is a risk of injury while machine is being tested.
- Hot environment during summer season
- Ability to stand or walk for most of the day
- Manually lift and load objects up to 50 Ibs
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
