Qualifications – Northern Ontario Hospital
- Bachelor’s degree in a regulated health profession or Health Administration (required)
- Current registration in good standing with the applicable Ontario regulatory college, where applicable
- 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare environment preferred
- Management education or leadership training considered an asset
- Experience overseeing multiple clinical programs or services preferred
- Knowledge of hospital operations, quality improvement methodologies, accreditation standards, and healthcare legislation
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: Permanent Full-Time
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM schedule
- Ability to participate in manager on-call rotations
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care, quality improvement, and interdisciplinary collaboration

Responsibilities:
The Manager, Outpatient & Diagnostic Services is responsible for the overall leadership, coordination, and performance of outpatient clinical programs and services. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Providing operational and clinical oversight for Diagnostic Imaging, Laboratory Services, Rehabilitation Services, and Community Counselling programs
- Leading and supporting interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care and service delivery
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating departmental goals, policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, professional standards, accreditation requirements, and organizational policies
- Managing departmental budgets, resources, staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, mentorship, and professional development of staff
- Collaborating with physicians, clinical leaders, and community partners to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes
- Promoting a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and patient-centered care
- Participating in management on-call responsibilities as required
Note: Duties may vary based on organizational needs, with specific orientation and training provided upon hire.
Experience:
- 3–5 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience preferred
- Experience managing multiple clinical programs or departments considered a strong asset
- Knowledge of quality improvement frameworks, accreditation processes, and healthcare regulations
- Experience with budgeting, operational planning, and human resource management
- Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in rural, remote, or northern healthcare settings considered an asset

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change and quality improvement initiatives
