Overview
We are seeking experienced Air Buggy and SOLO Drillers specializing in Long Hole Drilling to join our dynamic team. This role involves operating drilling equipment in challenging environments, within underground mining or projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, construction mining experience, and familiarity with production drilling. This position offers an exciting opportunity for skilled professionals to contribute to large-scale projects requiring precision and safety. This position requires travel to site on a 14X14 scheduale rotation.
Duties
- Operate long hole drilling equipment with precision, following project specifications and safety protocols
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of drilling machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with setup, calibration, and changeover of drilling tools and accessories
- Follow safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members to execute drilling plans efficiently and accurately
- Maintain detailed logs of drilling activities, equipment usage, and operational issues
- Support additional tasks such as safety operation, commercial driving, or horizontal drilling as needed for project requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a drill operator, preferably in underground mining, long hole drilling operations.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on drilling equipment considered and assest.
- Construction mining experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with horizontal drilling techniques is a plus
- Valid drivers licence and asset
- Ability to travel
- Strong understanding of safety standards and protocols in industrial environments
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in physically demanding conditions
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence
Pay: $60.00-$68.00 per hour
