Dishwasher – UMAMI
UMAMI is a brand-new upscale Pan-Asian restaurant looking for a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our opening kitchen team. This role is essential to keeping our kitchen clean, organized, and running efficiently. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a team, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position of approximately 35 hours per week.
Responsibilities
● Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
● Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish area
● Keep kitchen floors, garbage, recycling, and compost areas clean and organized
● Assist with receiving, storing, and putting away deliveries
● Support the kitchen team with basic prep and cleaning tasks as needed
● Ensure all sanitation and food safety standards are followed
● Assist with opening and closing cleaning duties
● Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining a positive attitude
Requirements
● Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience is an asset but not required
● Strong work ethic and attention to detail
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
● Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
● Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies as needed
● Willingness to learn and assist wherever needed
