PavCo is looking for a Technology Specialist who is passionate about technology, thrives in a fast-paced live event environment, and enjoys seeing their work come to life in front of thousands of people.
As our IPTV and Digital Signage expert, you'll be responsible for the technology that powers digital displays, TVs, LED signage, and menu boards throughout the BC Place, ensuring every screen delivers the right content at exactly the right time.
Working closely with teams across the organization, you'll combine technical expertise, creativity, and problem-solving to help deliver one of the best fan and guest experiences in the industry.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- To enhance the Digital Signage at BC Place to deliver a best-in-class digital fan/audience experience.
- Partner with Business Development, Global Partnerships, Events, Marketing, Food & Beverage, and other departments to bring digital content to life for events and clients.
- Administer and manage the Stadium's network of digital signage displays and IPTV systems.
- Program scripts, triggers, dashboards, and automated workflows, digital signage platforms.
- Schedule, publish, and monitor content across hundreds of digital displays throughout the venue.
- Coordinate event and game day content deployment, ensuring every display is accurate and operational before doors open.
- Manage digital signage requests, updates, playlists, and content changes.
- Configure, install, and maintain digital signage hardware, media players, and supporting software.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely technical support to ensure maximum uptime.
- Assist with the integration of third-party applications and data sources into the digital signage ecosystem.
- Manage user permissions and system access.
- Provide event-day support, reporting, and post-event follow-up.
- Stay current with software updates, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve the digital experience for fans, guests, clients, and partners.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- Completion of a two-year College Diploma with additional certification in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Graphic Design, or a related discipline.
- Four or more years of experience supporting IPTV, digital signage, or similar technology systems in a live sports, entertainment, arena, or stadium environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Confidence reading and interpreting technical documentation and system manuals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to quickly learn new technologies and business systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- The ability to perform under pressure during live events where reliability and responsiveness are critical.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support games, concerts, and special events.
The salary range for this position is $ 68,658 - $85,000.
- Offers will be in line with PavCo’s internal pay equity and qualified candidate’s experience and education.
