Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Dip Molding Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining dip molding equipment to produce high-quality medical-grade balloons. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with manufacturing processes, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. The Dip Moulding Technician plays a vital part in ensuring efficient production, minimizing waste, and adhering to strict quality control protocols.
Duties
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot dip molding machine to produce medical balloons according to specifications
- Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on machinery, including calibrating tools such as calipers and hand tools
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measurement tools to ensure products meet quality standards
- Monitor production processes and make necessary adjustments for optimal output and efficiency
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine operation and troubleshooting
- Assist with assembly and packaging of finished products as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following lean manufacturing principles and safety protocols
- Operate lifts and other warehouse equipment safely when required for material handling
- Document production data accurately and report issues promptly to supervisors
Experience
- Previous experience in manufacturing or machining environments preferred, especially in plastic or polymer processing
- Familiarity with machinery, lathes, or similar equipment is advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, calipers, and basic math skills for precise measurements
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and quality inspection procedures
- Strong understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine control and diagnostics
- Experience working in quality inspection roles or assembly lines is beneficial
