If you enjoy being active and spending time outdoors, this could be a great fit.
We are looking for a dependable and active person to join our team supporting clients primarily in St. Albert and northwest Edmonton. We are especially looking for applicants who live in or near St. Albert or northwest Edmonton areas such as Castle Downs, Oxford, Starling, and surrounding neighbourhoods to help minimize travel time between visits.
In this role, you will spend your days jogging and walking dogs, visiting cats, and sending updates so pet parents know their animals were well cared for while they are at work.
Most of the day is spent working independently while staying connected with the team when needed.
Our clients rely on us to show up for their pets consistently, so reliability and clear communication are very important in this role.
What the role is really like
You head out to your first visit of the day and check in through the app before starting your walk or jog.
Many of the dogs in our care enjoy jogging, so a good part of the day involves running with them. We keep a steady pace, but there are always moments to pause for sniff breaks or a quick water stop along the way.
Between dog visits you may check in on a cat, refill food and water, clean the litter box, and spend a few minutes playing or giving them attention.
Most of the day is spent working independently while moving between visits. Staff stay connected through the team chat if questions come up, if someone needs help during their shift, or to share a funny moment or adorable pet photo.
Over time you will get to know the pets and their routines, and many of them quickly become regular jogging partners.
Because pets rely on us for their daily care, showing up consistently and staying on schedule is an important part of the role.
