Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server / to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service, a strong understanding of food and beverage operations, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves preparing and serving drinks and food, managing POS systems, and ensuring all food safety standards are met. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with a POS are Essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent time management skills, multitasking abilities, and a thorough knowledge of food handling and customer service protocols.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffees, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages along with food in our full service restaurant in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS for order processing and cash handling
- Engage with guests to provide an outstanding hospitality experience, including serving food and drinks promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and bar areas, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Manage cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and basic math calculations
- Restock bar and restaurant supplies as needed while monitoring inventory levels
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies
- Responsible for setting up the restaurant and bar for service, including serving and clearing food, drinks and coffees, preparing cocktails and hot beverages, ensuring all prep for restaurant and bar are done
- Opening duties including cleaning the whole restaurant and bar area to prepare for service
- Closing duties including setting up the restaurant for the next day's service
- Managing weekday shift while working on your own
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy hours
Experience
- Previous Server experience of minimum 3 years in a full service required
- Knowledge of Italian cuisine and wine is an asset
- Experience making cocktails required
- Ability to perform all opening and closing front of house duties when working independently
- Ability to work as part of an experienced service-team in a fast-paced environment for busy shifts
- Previous experience working with Aloha POS preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skillsValid Smart Serve certification required
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest interactions professionally
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and drink mixing
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Experience in hospitality environments demonstrating teamwork, reliability, and professionalism
