About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Journeyman/Site Carpenter who is comfortable handling multiple aspects of a renovation project—not just one trade.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in both structural framing and finish carpentry. You can frame walls, install doors and trim, patch drywall, paint when needed, complete final deficiencies, and help prepare projects for client handover.
If you've previously owned or operated your own renovation company, you'll likely be a great fit. We value people who understand the entire renovation process, take ownership of their work, and can confidently solve problems on site.
What You'll Be Doing
- Structural and interior framing with wood and metal
- Finish carpentry including doors, trim, baseboards, cabinets, and millwork
- Drywall installation and drywall patching
- Painting and touch-ups
- Flooring installation (LVP, engineered hardwood, and hardwood)
- Basic tile installation
- Install light fixtures and complete basic electrical tasks when required
- Complete final deficiency work and prepare projects for client handover
- Read drawings and work with project managers to keep jobs moving
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe
- Provide professional service when interacting with clients
What We're Looking For
- Journeyman Carpenter (Red Seal preferred)
- 3+ years of residential renovation experience
- Experience with commercial tenant improvements/build-outs is an asset
- Strong framing and finishing carpentry skills
- Comfortable completing drywall patching, painting, and finishing work
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Detail-oriented and takes pride in high-quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence
- Own hand tools and PPE
Bonus Qualifications
These aren't required, but we'd love to see them:
- You've owned or operated your own renovation or construction company.
- Experience managing renovation projects from start to finish.
- Safety certifications (First Aid, CSTS, Fall Protection, etc.)
