Your role
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager - Healthcare to join our Eastern Ontario team based in Ottawa!
In this role, we are looking for an experience Senior Project Manager who can act as a trusted advisor to our clients and have built strong, lasting relationships with senior leaders. You bring in-depth knowledge and have led and managed complex project teams from start to finish – on time and on budget. You have a wealth of experience leading major acute healthcare, long-term care and communication health projects with significant complexity. In addition to leading projects, your experience and drive will help position our team in the pursuit of upcoming capital health projects throughout the Atlantic.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic guidance throughout the planning, design and construction of healthcare capital projects while balancing operational, clinical and regulatory considerations.

Understand and represent your clients’ best interests regarding project outcomes

Manage change, communicate, and coordinate between multiple stakeholders, resolve issues, and deliver projects on time and on budget

Assist clients with defining project requirements, key milestones and success criteria

Plan and coordinate project management activities including procurement, risk, cost, schedule, scope, record management

Ensure appropriate resources are assigned to projects

Provide financial framework, forecasts and cost tracking and regular financial reporting

Formulate and manage project plans by defining deliverables, identifying and procuring necessary resources, identifying key milestones and reviewing project progress

Prepare project progress reports on project status, project schedules, project expenditures and impending actions

Manage client relationships and be attentive to new or changing requirements
- Leverage your network to assist with the identification of new project opportunities
Qualifications:
- University degree or college diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management, quantity surveying or a related discipline (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

Professional designation such as PMP, P.Eng., CET, Registered Architect or another relevant industry credential is considered a strong asset.

Minimum 10 years of progressive project management experience delivering healthcare capital projects, with significant experience acting as an owner's representative or project management consultant.

Demonstrated experience managing the planning, design and construction of hospitals, acute-care facilities, long-term care homes, ambulatory care centres, community healthcare facilities or other complex healthcare environments.

Strong understanding of healthcare planning, clinical stakeholder engagement, infection prevention and control (IPAC) considerations, phasing and decanting strategies, commissioning, and working within occupied healthcare facilities.

Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project delivery models, procurement strategies, financial management, contract administration, building codes and relevant legislation.

Experience managing multidisciplinary consultant teams, contractors and clinical stakeholders throughout all phases of healthcare project delivery.

Proven ability to manage multiple complex healthcare projects simultaneously while balancing competing priorities.

Strong leadership, negotiation and relationship management skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and resolve complex project issues.

Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills.

Highly proficient in MS Project, MS Word and MS Excel.
