Warehouse Lead is responsible for supporting and maintaining the daily operations of the warehouse. This includes leading receiving, shipping, and inventory tasks, as well as overseeing the general upkeep of the warehouse space. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently.
Report to: Warehouse Manager
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate receiving, shipping, and inventory tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Oversee picking, packing, and labeling of orders according to customer requirements and company protocol
- Manage inventory storage, including allergens and quarantine areas
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
- Assist in loading/unloading trucks and containers
- Complete shipping and receiving documents accurately
- Provide guidance and support to warehouse team members
- Collaborate with other departments as needed
- Identify process improvements and implement changes
- Ensure compliance with company safety and hygiene protocols
Requirements:
- Min. 3 years’ experience in warehouse environment with forklift operation experience and relevant certification.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs (25kg)
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods
Additional information:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
· Walk, stand for extended periods of time
· Wear appropriate safety equipment, as instructed
Majority of work time will be spent in production and warehouse where:
· Temperatures can vary between cool and hot depending on the process and weather
· Noise level can be moderate
· Position is exposed to small particles, allergens and odors
· Position is required to wear common protective and/or safety gear, i.e. lab coats, gloves, facemask, hairnet, etc.
Pay: $22.50 per hour
