C.R. Enterprises Ltd is a 100% locally owned and operated business, providing ready-mix concrete and concrete placing and finishing services in Yellowknife, NT and the surrounding areas. We are currently seeking an experience concrete finisher to join our team of dedicated personnel for the 2026 construction season. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in curbs and gutters.
Experience: 3 years of relevant experience
Worksite Environment: Dusty, outdoors, noisy
Major Work Area: Sidewalks, curbs, and gutters, residential, commercial, industrial
Types of Materials Used: Colours and sealers, Hardeners and epoxies, Reinforcing membrane and protective covering
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, Standing for extended periods, Attention to detail
Weight Handling: up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Duties:
· Placing forms that hold concrete to ensure the required depth and pitch are achieved
· Monitoring the effect heat, wind, and cold have on curing concrete to ensure high-quality results
· Removing edges on expansion joints and sides
· Installing anchor bolts, steel plates, and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete
· Polishing surfaces using smoothing materials, abrasive tools, and surfacing machines
· Aligning forms for sidewalks, curbs, and gutters
· Waterproofing, damp-proofing, and restoring concrete surfaces
· Compacting materials using power vibrators to create leveled bases
· Finishing concrete surfaces with rough or smooth patterns depending on the customer's preference
· Signaling truck drivers and moving chutes to facilitate pouring concrete onto forms
· Casting and spreading concrete to patch voids
· Applying hardening and sealing compounds to cure the surface of the concrete
· Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade
· Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement
· Operate power vibrators to compact concrete
· Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification
· Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures
· Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
· Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces
· Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
· Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades
Pay: $32.76-$34.00 per hour
