This local food manufacturing company is offering a great opportunity for a self-motivated and well-organized team member to work in the Packaging Area.
The successful candidate's primary responsibilities will be to ensure the effective operation of a packaging line under the direction of the Production Supervisor.
DAY SHIFT is Monday to Friday 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (approximate finish time is based on production requirements). NO WEEKENDS AND SHIFTS DO NOT ROTATE!
AFTERNOON SHIFT is Monday to Thursday 3:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. (approximate finish time is based on production requirements). 3-DAY LONG WEEKENDS AND SHIFTS DO NOT ROTATE!
Duties include:
· Diplomatically and effectively communicate with the packaging team to stimulate motivation and engagement.
· In charge of packaging machine to ensure its smooth and consistent operation.
· Set feeders and scales for proper weights, including making ongoing minor machine adjustments to maintain product weight within defined tolerances.
· Start/stop packaging line as required.
· Ensure proper roll stock is used and bags are cut/sealed correctly and that proper boxes are used for the day’s production requirements.
· Check/activate date codes.
· Change ribbons and roll stock as required.
· Monitor metal detectors.
· Assist packagers when workstations get backed up.
· Organize the packaging team and ensure workstation rotations are fluid.
· Distributing end-of-day cleaning duties.
· Training new packaging associates.
· Effectively and consistently meet quality standards and meet daily production requirements.
· Complete production-oriented paperwork.
· Must be comfortable working in a hot environment.
- MUST HAVE MINIMUM 1 YEAR OF MACHINE OPERATION EXPERIENCE
Pay: $20.15 per hour
