Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical impairments or disabilities. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and patient care, as well as, experience with MVA, WCB and sports injuries. The Physiotherapist will work closely with patients to develop individualized treatment plans that promote recovery and enhance mobility.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Implement therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve mobility and function.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation techniques and home exercise programs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes.
- Stay updated with advancements in physiotherapy practices and medical terminology.
Requirements
- Degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid physiotherapy license to practice in Alberta.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- A strong background in manual therapy is an asset.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Cochrane, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
