Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Yard Worker/Delivery Driver to join our team. One position will require a valid Class 5 license and the other position will require a valid Class 3 Air Endorsement license (wage will depend on experience). The employee will be responsible for loading and unloading customer and company vehicles within the yard and on deliveries ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate yard trucks
- Perform inspections on equipment and report any issues or maintenance needs.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding operational status.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed, which may involve heavy lifting.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the yard.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely movement of goods.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies while performing duties.
Skills
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and customers effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills to address any inquiries or concerns.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by job duties.
- Experience operating forklifts is preferred.
- Valid driving license
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial.
