We are looking for someone who is confident, has good communication skills, is patient and flexible, has a passion and care for children, shows initiative and responsibility, has a sense of fun and is excited to lead and create experiences for children. 20 hours guaranteed, most shifts are between the hours of 130-6pm. Must be able to travel between centres if necessary. A Class 4 Unrestricted drivers license or the ability to obtain one ASAP is considered a huge asset.
Casual commitment also available, just let us know if that is the intent of the application.
Job responsibilities require a moderate level of activity and include field trips, community walks, outdoor activities and classroom activities (program planning) of all interests as well as general housekeeping. We also require an imagination, positive attitude, common sense, good command of the English language, and awareness of your surroundings in a busy fast paced environment. Experience in a centre is essential. Applicants MUST be able to manage a group of children on their own, have their RA, ECE or ECEA license to practice, child safe first aid and valid criminal record check and Unrestricted Class 4 drivers license. ECE wage enhancement available for those who qualify. Local applicants only.
Guaranteed hours may change for the summer break period of July and August.
