Position Summary
We are seeking a Installation Quality Control Specialists to support the installation, startup, and final testing of automated material handling systems. In this role, you will work alongside engineering and project teams to ensure systems are installed correctly, tested thoroughly, and fully operational before customer handoff.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in warehouse automation, industrial maintenance, or material handling who enjoy hands-on troubleshooting and working in a fast-paced project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect electrical and mechanical installations to ensure equipment is complete and installed according to engineering plans.
- Perform on-site system checkout, commissioning, and functional testing following controls implementation.
- Verify system performance and ensure all equipment operates according to design specifications.
- Inspect, test, and validate all machine safety devices and safety systems.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve installation and commissioning issues.
- Complete commissioning reports, timecards, expense reports, and other project documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, electricians, and installation teams to meet project deadlines.
- Follow all company and customer safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) practices.
Qualifications Required
- 1–5 years of experience in the material handling industry, preferably within distribution centers or warehouse automation.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical principles used in industrial automation.
- Ability to read CAD drawings, electrical schematics, and engineering documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook/Email, and video conferencing platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness and ability to work extended 12-hour shifts on active construction sites.
Preferred
- Mechanical and/or electrical maintenance or installation experience.
- Experience with warehouse automation systems.
- Basic knowledge of Allen-Bradley safety devices and safety controllers.
- Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout procedures and OSHA 10 safety standards.

Pay: $35.00-$39.00 per hour
