Job Summary
The Pre-Press technician will work in the rebuild of electronic and/or printed graphics. This individual must have knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and modify artwork
- Troubleshoot, edit artwork files, colour match, pre-flight, prepare & check artwork files
- Working closely with production, sales team, and customers, incorporate changes recommended by customers into final design (Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop)
- Responsible for archiving and updating graphic files for future access
- Process all printing requests accurately and effectively with tight deadlines
Skills Required
- Must have experience in vector based software Adobe Illustrator (MAC). Illustrator is the primary program used
- File Prep, Composition, RIP/Trap, Plating, Troubleshoot prepress
- Excellent initiative, ability to learn quickly and work independently
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to set priorities
- Strong desire to work as a team and work towards the overall goals of the department and company
- Understanding of print production processes, ability to prepare files for press and digital printing. Pre-press knowledge is essential
- Ability to work with CMYK and Pantone Colours
