We're looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is the heartbeat of our showroom and office operations, providing administrative support to our Designers and Management while helping create an exceptional customer experience.
This isn't your typical administrative role. You'll be involved in everything from processing orders and payments to supporting exciting kitchen and bath design projects. Every day brings something different, and you'll play a key role in helping projects move smoothly from concept to completion.
Please note that this position requires working one Saturday (10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) every third week. When scheduled to work Saturday, the employee will have Monday off that week.
What You’ll Do:
Be the Face of Our Showroom
- Welcome customers and visitors with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Answer phones and direct inquiries to the appropriate team members.
- Help create a positive and memorable first impression for every customer.
Keep the Business Running Smoothly
- Process payments, deposits, receipts, and project documentation.
- Enter and maintain accurate customer and order information.
- Support Designers and Management with a variety of administrative tasks.
- Coordinate mail, couriers, and office communications.
Support Design Projects
- Assist Designers with project administration and documentation.
- Help maintain accurate project records and customer files.
- Learn and work with industry software, including 20/20 Design and Acumatica.
- Gain exposure to the kitchen and bath design process from start to finish.
Help Maintain an Amazing Showroom
- Coordinate office and showroom supplies.
- Assist with showroom organization, displays, and seasonal décor.
- Help ensure our space always looks professional and inviting.
We’re Looking for Someone Who:
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused.
- Confident working with numbers and data entry.
- A strong communicator who enjoys working with people.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Eager to learn new systems and processes.
- A team player who enjoys supporting others and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
- Minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute
- Grade 12 required.
- Previous administrative or office support experience.
- Experience in customer service, retail, construction, renovation, cabinetry, or design-related industries.
- Experience with 20/20 Design software or a strong interest in learning it.
- Education in Interior Design (certificate, diploma, or degree) or a demonstrated passion and interest in interior design is preferred.
