Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing concrete surfaces to the highest standards, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal. This role requires a strong understanding of various finishing techniques and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic construction environment. Candidates with experience in concrete forming, masonry, and the operation of power tools will excel in this position.
Duties
- Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and shaping using hand tools and power tools such as trowels, floats, and edgers
- Install rebar and formwork according to blueprints and schematics to prepare for concrete pouring
- Operate heavy equipment safely for tasks such as lifting and positioning forms or materials
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of projects
- Perform restoration and renovation work on existing concrete structures as needed
- Apply caulking, sealing, and other finishing techniques to enhance durability and appearance
- Assist with masonry, flooring installation, welding, and other related construction activities as required
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of debris
Experience
- Proven experience in concrete finishing, including the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Knowledge of mechanical systems relevant to construction projects
- Familiarity with rebar installation, concrete forming, blueprint reading, masonry, restoration, and renovation processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on a daily basis
- Prior experience with form installation, grading, stamp concrete, or working with equipment is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety protocols in construction environments
Candidates should possess excellent craftsmanship skills combined with the ability to interpret technical drawings. A background in carpentry or masonry is advantageous. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring precision workmanship in a professional setting.
Pay: $20.00-$40.27 per hour
