Level V Bakery is a vegan bakery located in the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood in Vancouver. Everything is made from scratch in-house, and we are proud to to offer a wide variety of products, such as cookies, danishes, cupcakes, mochi muffins, buns, macarons, brownies, cream puffs, cheesecakes that are all plant-based!
Level V Bakery is looking for a passionate baker to join the best vegan bakery in Vancouver!
Job Summary:
We are searching for an individual who is passionate about baking, motivated and driven, able to bring positive energy, and has the desire to learn from the best vegan bakers.
This baker will begin by executing our basic recipes such as cakes, danishes, cookies and buns. Once that is mastered you will gain more responsibilities, such as learning how to make our other popular vegan items.
Successful candidates will bring their proven baking experience into an innovative, fast paced environment where workers are valued and supported in the work they do.
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday 6:30am to 3:00pm.

Responsibilities:
- Measuring and mixing ingredients adhering to the written recipe.
- Baking buns, danishes, cakes, and pastries, according to the work schedule and customer orders
- Preparing frostings and decorating cakes.
- Arranging the display case in an appealing manner and updating online inventory.
- Record keeping of temperature monitoring, inventory, receiving, and following opening/closing checklist.
- Following sanitation plan, which includes cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment and premises is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
- Maintaining adequate supply of ingredients and packaging and ensure the proper storage, refrigeration, and organization.
- Handle customer in person and phone inquiries, requests, and complaints in a prompt, polite, and effective manner
- Assist the front of house staff during lunch hours with the operation of a cash register and making a few drinks while providing excellent customer service

Education and Experience:
- Cake decorating experience is required
- Previous baking experience is required
- Familiar with baking techniques such as proofing, kneading, laminating.
- Familiar with operating baking equipment, such as mixers, oven.
- Food Safe 1 is an asset
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to adhere to food safety plan, good hygiene practices, and health and safety regulations.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, use your hands a lot, and stand for long hours.
