WCC is looking for a reliable, practical, and hardworking Alberta-certified journeyperson Electrician to support our industrial production operation near Rosalind, Alberta.
This is a part-time / contract / project-based role. We are looking for someone local or within reasonable driving distance who can support us on a regular basis, help troubleshoot production equipment, and be available for project work when new equipment is being installed.
This is not a residential service role. The ideal candidate has hands-on industrial experience with production machinery, motors, control panels and etc.
Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, mining, processing, or production facility is strongly preferred.
Main Responsibilities
The electrician will support electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, wiring, and project work for WCC’s industrial operation, including all equipment
Work Schedule
This is a flexible role based on mutual discussion and operational needs.
The work may include:
- Regular weekly or bi-weekly site visits
- Part-time maintenance and troubleshooting work
- Project-based work during equipment installations
- Occasional urgent call-outs when electrical issues affect production
- Flexible hours depending on the candidate’s availability and WCC’s production schedule
We are looking for someone who can build a long-term working relationship with WCC and become familiar with our plant, equipment, and production needs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be an Alberta-certified journeyperson Electrician, or hold a trade certificate recognized in Alberta
- Must be authorized to perform electrical restricted activities in Alberta
- Industrial electrical experience required
- Strong troubleshooting skills with motors, wiring, control panels, sensors, starters, and industrial machinery
- Comfortable working around conveyors, crushers, dryers, bagging systems, and packaging equipment
- Able to read basic electrical drawings and diagnose problems practically
- Safety-minded and familiar with lockout/tagout practices
- Reliable transportation to WCC’s site near Rosalind, Alberta
- Able to work independently and communicate clearly with management, equipment suppliers, and contractors
- Experience with VFDs, PLCs, motor controls, limit switches, sensors, control circuits, and 3-phase systems
- Construction Electrician certificate with strong industrial plant experience will also be considered
- Red Seal endorsement preferred, but not mandatory
Compensation
Pay range for part-time employee arrangement: $50–$60 per hour, depending on experience.
Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour
