Position Overview:
The Nipigon District Family Health Team is seeking a friendly, organized and professional Receptionist to be the welcoming first point of contact for our patients and community.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients, visitors, and community members
- Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
- Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records and support EMR documentation
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the healthcare team
- Promote a positive, welcoming, and respectful patient experience
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Certificate in Office Administration, Medical Office Administration, or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience in a healthcare or medical office setting is an asset
- Proficiency with EMR systems and standard office software
- Strong communication, organizational, customer service, and multitasking skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a healthcare environment
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory OPP Vulnerable Sector Check
