Overview
Kawartha Lakes Excavating Inc. is currently looking to hire motivated, reliable, and hardworking Operators and Labourers to join our growing team. We are seeking both full-time and part-time employees for a variety of excavation and construction projects throughout the Kawartha Lakes area.
Duties
- Operate a variety of heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, excavators, graders, and backhoes to support construction projects.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure equipment safety and proper functioning.
- Perform site preparation, grading, excavation, paving, and material handling tasks efficiently and safely.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine checks and minor repairs; report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Drive commercial vehicles to transport equipment or materials between job sites when required while adhering to safety regulations.
- Follow all safety protocols and construction standards to minimize hazards on-site.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, graders, backhoes, etc.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance.
- Experience with septic system installation an asset.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 50.0 per week
