Overview
We are a metal roofing installation company. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sloped Roofer to join our construction team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining sloped roofs on residential and commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing, carpentry, and construction, with a focus on safety and quality craftsmanship. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects while developing your skills in roofing and related trades.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace sloped roofing systems using various metal roofing systems.
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform roofing tasks efficiently and safely.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation.
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment to facilitate project progress.
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing of roofs.
- Assist with carpentry tasks related to roof framing or structural support as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organizing tools and debris removal.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on-site.
Experience
- Prior construction or roofing experience is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic carpentry techniques.
- Experience reading blueprints or technical drawings is advantageous.
- Knowledge of caulking techniques and waterproofing methods.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Handyman experience or general construction background is a plus.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety standards.
