Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Transportation Coordinator to join our logistics team. This role is vital in managing freight movement, coordinating shipments, and ensuring the efficient operation of our supply chain processes. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, proficiency with transportation management systems, and a solid understanding of shipping and receiving procedures. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and effective coordination are essential for success.
Duties
- Manage transportation schedules using transportation management systems and SyteLine software to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Coordinate with 3PL providers, carriers, and internal departments to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Oversee shipping & receiving activities, including documentation and tracking
- Analyze freight data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, freight costs, and delivery statuses through data entry and analysis tools.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
- Monitor supply chain operations to prevent delays or disruptions, providing proactive solutions as needed.
- Assist with shipping & receiving procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.
- Prepare reports on transportation performance metrics for management review.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in data entry, typing, and managing multi-line phone systems. communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience working with 3PL providers is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and safety standards is a plus.

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
