Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Cook to oversee daily operations in our food service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid background in the food industry, including serving, food preparation, and kitchen management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team, ensure food safety standards, and deliver exceptional dining experiences to our customers.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff to ensure efficient service delivery
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining high quality standards
- Ensure proper food handling and adherence to food safety regulations
- Assist with meal preparation during busy periods or special events
- Train and mentor team members on service protocols, food safety, and kitchen procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Uphold excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant operations, or the food industry
- Strong knowledge of serving, food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food handling environment is highly desirable
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for meal preparation
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; prior restaurant experience is preferred but not required

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
