POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Millwright is a key position of the manufacturing team and will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, maintain and troubleshoot and repair machinery
- Execute preventative maintenance programs and document activities
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical drive systems
- Conducting inspections of all mechanical equipment and tools
- Providing preventative maintenance for equipment and machines
- Inspecting tools and machines for deficiencies
- Collaborating with production staff and operators to proactively reduce downtime
- Updating and maintaining maintenance records
- Coordinating outside contractor activities
- Reading, understanding, and following all safe work practices for machinery and equipment
- Understand company safety regulations and relevant occupational health and safety legislation
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings and equipment manuals
- Assist supervisors in scheduling work and determining needs for equipment
- Source and prepare parts for repair and maintenance tasks
- Participation in 5s, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and other continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES
- 5-S and cleaning/maintaining of work area cleanliness
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements
- Any other duties as assigned
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND REQUIRED
- Minimum high school completion
- Must have a Millwright Certification/License
- Electrical experience is an asset
- Technical knowledge
- Positive, can-do attitude/initiative; team-focused with ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 1-2 yrs experience assembling small components/hardware installation in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of industrial electrical and electronic systems

- Repetitive work
- Physically able to meet the demands of the role, including lifting, climbing and working in confined spaces
