Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional service to customers, assist with product selection, and ensure a welcoming and professional environment. This role requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and the ability to handle various retail tasks efficiently. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly valued, along with experience in retail sales, hospitality, or customer service. The Budtender will play a key role in educating customers about products while maintaining compliance with all regulations.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance based on their needs and preferences
- Educate customers on different cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and transactions
- Upsell products to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure product availability
- Manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment
- Handle customer inquiries professionally via phone or in person
- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations regarding cannabis sales and documentation
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions and product measurements
- Utilize computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, filing, and data entry to maintain records
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales, hospitality, or customer service environments
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in French or other languages is a plus
- Ability to operate POS systems and basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office and Excel
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and time management
- Ability to handle heavy lifting when necessary and stand for extended periods during shifts
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse clientele
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Knowledge of cannabis products or willingness to learn about industry-specific regulations is preferred
- Strong organizational skills for merchandising, filing, and inventory management
