Duties
- Conduct comprehensive tree assessments to determine health, stability, and safety risks.
- Perform pruning, trimming, cabling, bracing, and removal of trees using appropriate techniques and tools.
- Operate machinery such as excavators for planting or removal projects while adhering to safety standards.
- Support landscape maintenance tasks including planting, mulching, fertilizing, and general gardening duties.
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently for various horticultural and construction activities.
- Maintain equipment through regular inspections and mechanical knowledge to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in arboriculture, landscaping, or horticulture with a strong understanding of tree care practices.
- Ability to operate machinery such as excavators safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, gardening techniques, and landscape maintenance best practices.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience maintaining hand tools and power tools used in outdoor work.
- Construction experience is preferred for supporting larger landscape projects or site preparation.
- Strong physical stamina to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy loads is essential.
- Working from heights and certifications considered an asset
- Minimum 3-5 years experience
- Valid G license required
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward safety and teamwork.
