Position Summary:
At North Bay Animal Hospital, we believe in fostering a supportive team environment that encourages life/work balance. Job Responsibilities
- Build rapport with clients by gathering information and listening to and empathizing with their concerns.
- Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
- Communicate with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, preventive health care, and nutritional needs.
- Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make certain all necessary logs are kept up to date through established protocols.
- Stay current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine.
- Present a positive image of the hospital to the professional community and to the public.
- Work in a communicative and collaborative fashion that focuses on team success.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Ontario
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Commitment to high standards of patient care
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach
- Ideally 2 years of experience is an asset, but new graduates are welcome
