Wynn Park Villa is currently seeking a casual employee to train and work as a Dietary Aide in our Long Term Care Facility.
Dietary Aide
The Dietary Aide is responsible for duties related to preparing and distributing food served to the Residents of Wynn Park Villa. Dietary Aides also ensure the pod area is clean and tidy and dishes are washed and ensure the chairs and tables in the respective dining area are clean.
- Follows safety, environmental and infection control practices as per Facility policies.
- Follow the diet status sheets and ensure the proper meals are served to each Resident (i.e., diabetics, allergies, etc) on the units in accordance with the menu prepared and cooked by the cooks in the main kitchen.
- Light food preparation such as sandwiches, vegetable peeling etc.
- Ensure cleaning of weekly and bi-weekly items in the Pod
Shift Availability:
- 10 Hour Shifts; 7:30am to 5:30pm (On-Call and pre-booked to cover our regular employees vacations and scheduled time off)
- Weekday, Weekend, and Holiday availability
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Food Handlers
- Standard First Aid and CPR certification as asset
- Reliable with good attendance record
- Respectful and hardworking team player with professional and courteous manner
- Experience working in a Long-Term Care or Home Care Setting an asset
- Clear Criminal Record Abstract and Vulnerable Sector Check within the last 6 months
