Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Beauty Salon Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients, manage appointment scheduling, and provide exceptional customer service. This role requires strong administrative skills, proficiency with office software, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience in medical or dental office settings is a plus, but not required. The receptionist will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for clients.
Duties
- Greet clients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
- Manage appointment scheduling using booking software and maintain the appointment calendar
- Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette
- Handle client inquiries via phone, email, or in person, providing excellent customer support
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate client records using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools
- Process payments and handle basic bookkeeping tasks, including QuickBooks entries if applicable
- Maintain organized filing systems for client records and administrative documents
- Assist with clerical tasks such as proofreading, document preparation, and correspondence
- Support front desk operations by managing incoming calls, scheduling follow-ups, and coordinating with staff
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
Experience
- Previous office experience preferred, especially in administrative or clerical roles
- Experience with multi-line phone systems and data entry required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Google Workspace is essential
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or bookkeeping software is a plus
- Prior customer service experience in a salon, medical office, or dental practice is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent phone etiquette are necessary
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining professionalism and friendliness
Pay: $16.10-$21.90 per hour
